Exitcom Recycling GmbH

Stand: D45
Exitcom Recycling operates as an integrated facility dedicated to the management of end-of-life lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide, lithium iron phosphate, and sodium-ion batteries in strict accordance with circular economy principles. Upon receipt at the facility, incoming batteries are subjected to comprehensive state of health and state of charge analyses; predicated on empirical field data, units exhibiting performance metrics exceeding the eighty percent threshold are exclusively allocated for second-life battery energy storage systems, whereas those falling below this critical parameter having incurred significant efficiency degradation are directly routed to the mechanical recovery line. Following deep discharge and mechanical shredding protocols, the exterior casings alongside the aluminum and copper current collectors are systematically isolated, thereby yielding a black mass that is densely concentrated with critical metals such as lithium, nickel, manganese, and cobalt. This recovered black mass is subsequently processed utilizing advanced hydrometallurgical leaching and solvent extraction methodologies, ultimately synthesizing high-purity, battery-grade compounds namely, lithium carbonate, nickel sulfate, and cobalt sulfate ntended for direct integration into the cathode active materials of newly manufactured batteries. All these end-to-end mechanical and chemical operations are executed in absolute adherence to European Union battery regulations and digital battery passport standards, with the overarching objective of establishing a transparent raw material supply chain and rigorously documenting the associated carbon footprint.
