David Timmermann

Deputy Head of the Robotics Department , FZI Research Center for Information Technology

David Timmermann has been the Deputy Head of the robotics department (Interactive Diagnosis and Service Systems) at the FZI Research Center for Information Technology since 2025. With a strong background in computer science and robotics from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), his current work focuses heavily on the automation of dynamic assembly and disassembly scenarios. At the FZI, where he has managed projects and developed software since 2016, he leverages automation technology to solve complex dismantling challenges to enable a robust and reliable circular economy.
