James Watson is the Director General of Eurometaux, the European non-ferrous metals association, a position he has been leading since December 2024. With over 25 years of experience across European policy, advocacy, and public affairs, he has led some of Europe’s key energy and industrial associations, including Eurogas and SolarPower Europe. His career has spanned trade policy, public affairs, academia, and executive leadership — always at the intersection of industry transformation and sustainable policy. Dr. Watson holds a PhD in International Trade and Environmental Law from the University of Leeds and he has contributed to research and teaching in this field.
