Head of Automation , No Canary

Jonathan Ahrens is Head of Automation at No Canary GmbH, a company specializing in eco-friendly, clean and efficient recycling lines for lithium-ion batteries. He has extensive experience in battery recycling, battery cell production and industrial automation.

At No Canary, he is involved in the development and commissioning of battery deep-discharge stations and battery shredders. Before joining No Canary, Jonathan worked in process automation for battery cell production at Volkswagen’s Center of Excellence Batteriezelle in Salzgitter and as an Automation Engineer at Northvolt. He also held leading roles at Operational Battery Recyclers, including Head of Electrical Engineering and Head of Battery Deep Discharge, where he contributed to the design and construction of battery recycling systems.
