Kerstin Lichtenvort has more than 20 years of experience in climate, energy and environmental policy. She joined the European Commission in 2005 and is currently team leader for Critical Raw Materials and related waste streams in the Unit for «From Waste to Resources» at DG Environment where she is in charge of the new Batteries Regulation, the WEEE Directive and the RoHS Directive. She holds a PhD in environmental engineering and life cycle assessment from the Technical University of Berlin.
