Laura Melandri
Laura Melandri is a Strategic Development and Innovation Specialist at ERION, where she works in the EU Projects Team, focusing on circularity and recycling initiatives, eco-design, EPR compliance, and supply chain innovation. She holds a Master’s degree in Energy Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
In her role, Laura is involved in several European-funded projects that drive system and process innovation in Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). These include PERMANET and HARMONY, which address the recovery of rare earth elements from waste streams, and SAGE, which focuses on Green Digital Data Space (GDDS) and Digital Product Passports (DPP) for textiles and electronics. She also works on REBELION and FREE4LIB, two projects dedicated to advancing battery recycling. Her work is dedicated to critical raw material recovery, second life solutions, new collection schemes, and traceability, and contributes to studies, pilots, guidelines, policy recommendations, and stakeholder engagement across the value chain.
