Dr.-Ing. Mathias Nippraschk is Head of Production and Technology at BLC – The Battery Lifecycle Company GmbH, a joint venture between TSR and Rhenus. In this role, he is responsible for the operational management and technological orientation of industrial processes throughout the entire battery life cycle.

His focus is on scaling and automating recycling processes in order to transfer sustainable solutions for lithium-ion batteries to an industrial scale. Before moving into industry, he earned his doctorate at the Institute of Mineral and Waste Processing, Recycling and Circular Economy Systems (IFAD) at Clausthal University of Technology and gained a lot of experience in the field of circular economy for lithium-ion batteries.
