Wassim Semaan
Wassim Semaan is a senior sector specialist at the European Investment Bank (EIB), with over a decade of experience in delivering technical and commercial projects across energy-intensive industries.
At the EIB, he contributes to the implementation of the European Commission’s Innovation Fund, supporting the development and deployment of innovative low-carbon technologies that accelerate Europe’s transition to climate neutrality.
His work focuses on Project Development Assistance (PDA), where he provides tailored technical and financial advisory to strengthen project maturity, feasibility, and access to EU and other sources of financing.
Prior to joining the EIB, he worked at Air Liquide, where he held various technical and commercial roles in renewable energy and industrial gas business development. He holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Ottawa (Canada) and an Executive MBA from Vlerick Business School (Belgium).
