At Fraunhofer IPA, we develop innovative robot-based disassembly solutions to enable sustainable, circular value creation. Our focus is on the automated disassembly of components such as batteries and electronics from complex products in order to recover valuable resources for repair, refurbishment, reuse, remanufacturing and recycling.

As part of the Centre for Digitalised Battery Cell Production (ZDB), we look at the entire battery value chain – including end-of-life strategies. Our technologies help close material loops and support a circular economy.

With expertise in automation, digitalisation and process development, we support industry partners from feasibility to integration into existing production systems.
