Officially founded in 2021, BTS & Saker was created as the vision of two men. As the name itself represents, it is a merger of two multinational companies BTS (member of the ISD group – South Korea) and Saker (member of the Loacker group – Austria). The company is engaged in the comprehensive recycling of Li-ion batteries and has built its plant in the city of Oslo (Poland), in a strategic location close to the German border. Currently, the company recycles all available types of Li-ion batteries of NMC chemistry and in 2025, after final adjustments of the technology, recycling of LFP chemistry will be launched. The company is currently using BAT technology to be able to meet the demands of its customers and to do its part to increase the efficiency of the circular economy. All recycling processes are fully automated and provide multi-level mechanical processing of the batteries in question. The capacity of the entire process is 3-4mt/hour and the company operates on a double shift 12 hour operation.
The company’s long-term goal is primarily to provide comprehensive services to its customers in the highest possible quality and therefore it is also fully certified to an integrated management system and will be certified to ISO 50001 in the near future.
