ImpactPCB was pronounced winner of the EIT RawMaterials Academy organized Hackathon in 2020 with the idea originally acquired from the team’s founder’s master’s thesis. Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), founded in 1918, is the sole technological university in Estonia. It is also the most international university in Estonia. Using state-of-the-art dry mechanical separation, ImpactPCB provides metal refining with a high-grade enriched metal concentrate from e-scrap. ImpactPCB also relieves its business partners from organic fractions, thus decreasing carbon footprint. This decarbonization reduces emissions from the metal refining by an amount up to 53% of weight total, as well as increasing furnace / leaching production capacity.
ImpactPCB is a vision for the future embedded with materials circularity.
ImpactPCB has a mission is to offer separation services to recover sought-after materials, such as exhibited case of phenolic epoxy resins from waste printed circuit board.
TalTech (RENEW partner) – It is a collaboration between EIT-labeled start-up team ImpactPCB and Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech).
