ERI has added its e-waste recycling and reuse skills and knowledge to the new Circular Electronics Design Guide.
The guide included collaboration from various industry experts and organisations including, Accenture, Bang & Olufsen, Danfoss, Ellen MacArthur Foundation, ERI, Fairphone, Fraunhofer IZM, Global Electronics Council, Globant, HMD, HP, iFixit, Logitech, Microsoft, Partners For Innovation, Pezy, Philips, Royal College of Art, Schneider Electric, Signify, Studio Elk, Synapse, TU Delft, and Versuni.
The Circular Electronics Design Guide is published by the Circular Electronics Partnership, this extensive document brings the electronics industry innovative ideas and calculated insights for promoting circular innovations.
A direct focus on bringing forward practical and possible methods for refurbishment, repair and recycling, the document includes contributions from over sixty experts, as well as twenty-five organisations. These contributions include ERI’s Chief Sustainability Officer David Hirschler and Vice President of Operational Strategy Anthony Borges. Using practical tools, the document aids in equipping and empowering practitioners with ways to prioritise and scale circular initiatives. Implementing these helps accelerate companies’ journeys into the circular economy.
The Circular Electronics Design Guide includes, ‘a comprehensive blueprint for building a circular innovation process’, ‘tools to scale circular initiatives in repair, refurbishment, and recycling’, ‘insights into creating the enabling conditions for successful circular initiatives’, and ‘case studies showcasing how industry leaders navigate the challenges.’
