Andrea Giacomelli is a Strategic Development and Innovation Specialist at ERION, offering his expertise to the EU Projects Team with a focus on circularity and recycling initiatives. Holding a bachelor’s and master’s degree in management engineering from Politecnico di Milano, he has developed knowledge about circular economy topics in the last year of his academic career and during its experience in ERION. Andrea is involved in various European-funded projects that drive system and process innovations in Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). Notable projects include New-RE (EIT Raw Materials), INSPIREE (Life), HARMONY (HorizonEU) which address Rare Earth recovery from waste streams, and FutuRam (HorizonEU) that aims to develop a secondary raw materials knowledge base on critical raw materials.
