Convenor of the Roundtable on the Responsible Recycling of Metals, Dave has worked in the development of voluntary sustainability standards including ResponsibleSteel and CARES Sustainable Constructional Steels scheme and is a Lead Aluminium Stewardship Initiative auditor. Over the last 18 months he has brought together metal industry associations, voluntary sustainability standards, recyclers, brands and manufacturers, NGO's and academics to take stock of the responsible recycling of metals, understand the drivers for change and to propose recommendations for these and other stakeholder groups. An Environmental Technology Masters graduate, Dave has founded, grown and sold sustainability consultancies and worked internationally to advance the codification and assurance of responsible business practices.
