Dr. Adamantia Lazou

Senior Researcher

Dr. Adamantia Lazou is a senior researcher in the School of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece. She graduated from the National Technical University of Athens with a M.Sc. degree (2017) in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, and a Ph.D. (2021) in Materials Science and Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway. Dr. Lazou started to work as a researcher at NTNU right before her Ph.D. defense. Dr. Lazou worked at NTNU for two years (2023), including research exchange at Seoul National University (SNU), Seoul, S. Korea. Her research interest is in developing and optimizing new metallic materials (alloys) for advanced applications, metallurgical processes for metal recycling and resource efficiency. To implement her vision Dr. Lazou seeks to combine and understand deeper the fundamental and applied knowledge. Dr. Lazou applies computational tools (focusing on thermodynamic modeling) to her everyday research to enhance the understanding and quality of her research output.
