Fabienne Zwagemakers, senior policy advisor – public affairs, joined Insurance Europe’s General and Personal Insurance Team in March 2020. She is responsible for developing and implementing public affairs strategies on key files in the life and non-life area. Issues she currently works on include climate change, liability, motor, fraud, cyber security, and new/emerging risks impacting insurance business lines. Fabienne has nine years of experience working in EU public affairs, having previously worked at a Brussels-based consultancy firm (acumen public affairs), where she focused on a broad range of issues (health, digital, financial services, sustainability). Fabienne holds a PhD in political theory (LUISS University, Rome) and completed a blue book traineeship in the European Commission’s radio spectrum unit.
