Hilke Schaer, Dipl. Des., MBA, Sustainability Manager, BMW AG After a successful career as a textile designer for interiors and design manager for automotive colors and trim, Hilke Schaer moved into innovation development for modern materials for car bodies. Recognizing the urgent need for sustainability in the automotive industry, she completed an MBA in Sustainability Management. In recent years, she has dedicated herself to reducing CO2 emissions in the automotive development supply chain. As part of the necessary transformation to a circular economy, she launched the Car2Car project and is leading the way in its implementation. This ambitious undertaking involved the integration of a consortium of 15 partner organizations, all committed to the sustainable innovation of the car recovery and recycling industry.
