Maarten is an innovation consultant working at Bax for more than 5 years, mainly in the field of advanced materials and batteries. During his studies in mechanical engineering, he combined the technical aspects of engineering with many experiences in innovation management, product innovation and entrepreneurship igniting his passion for a career in innovation. Driven to solve today's sustainability challenges, he is currently focusing on sustainable material and product value chains, specifically in the battery field. He has built and facilitated collaboration initiatives such as COBRA, a project on the development of cobalt free EV batteries, and BatteReverse, a project on the circularity of EV battery reverse logistics. He also has co-authored 20 battery market intelligence reports on research, industrial and policy developments in the value chain.
