Ruth Lambrechts is Director Government Affairs at Umicore, a leading circular materials technology company focusing on material science, chemistry and metallurgy. In Belgium, Umicore has one of the largest Precious Metals Refining plants in the world, recovering 17 different metals from different waste streams such as e-waste. Prior to joining Umicore, Ruth worked as the energy and climate policy expert at Belgium’s largest industry association representing metals, technology and digital industries. She started her career as a trainee at DG Competition and the American Chamber of Commerce in Belgium. Ruth is also a member of the board of the Flemish energy regulator.
