SERI announced today that it has forged a new relationship with the E-Waste World Conference & Expo in Frankfurt, Germany, becoming a content partner for the 2023 Circular Electronics, Remanufacturing & ITAD track. The conference, billed as Europe’s leading event for electronics recycling, is targeted toward electronics recycling companies, critical raw material suppliers, electronics manufacturers and suppliers, IT resellers (ITAD service providers), and the entire electronic waste recycling chain.

As the content partner for the Circular Electronics, Remanufacturing & ITAD track, SERI lends its expertise to shape the 2-day event (June 28-29), expanding from the traditional e-waste recycling agenda to a whole-lifecycle approach to prevent waste at a systems level.

“The world has a significant e-waste challenge that is going to take a new way of thinking to solve” said Corey Dehmey, SERI’s Executive Director. He continued, “We can no longer look to manage e-waste after it’s been created. Instead, everyone including designers and manufacturers, retailers, the repair community, reverse logistics professionals, enterprise, consumers, regulators, and electronics reuse and recycling facilities must collaborate to remove waste all throughout the electronics lifecycle. We’re honored and very excited to work with the E-Waste World Conference to build a track full of thought-provoking sessions from a lineup of top-notch expert leaders to educate and inspire us into the future.”

Peter Sarno, Event Director responded with, “We’re thrilled to partner with SERI for the Circular Electronics, Remanufacturing & ITAD track at the 2023 E-Waste World Conference. Together, we rethought what this stream can offer, and I am proud to say we have produced an agenda that will not only provide value to our established audience but opens itself up to the wider industry through a more holistic approach to E-waste prevention, from design to repair, to reuse. By combining our expertise and resources, we hope to drive innovation and promote sustainable practices in the electronics industry.

If you’re looking to join us in Frankfurt, expect an engaging program offering a mix of the well-respected voices you’ve heard before and some exciting new industry perspectives, you haven’t.”

Registration for both the conference and the exhibition is now open and is available HERE. The Expo is free-to-attend and conference tickets can be redeemed on the Early Bird Rate before May 19, 2023.

In addition, SERI is coordinating two free-to-attend half-day pre-conference workshops, both Tuesday June 27. The first, in conjunction with CTIA, Leveling Up Trust in the Mobile Repair Space, will be from 9:30-11 am. The second, in conjunction with ASCDI, Sustainable IT Equipment Resale – The Future of IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) from 1-4pm. Both will be held in the same location as the main E-Waste World Conference & Expo the day prior to the conference, and space is limited. Interested participants can learn more about the two workshops HERE.

Mr. Dehmey has also joined the Advisory Board for E-Waste World Conference & Expo, Battery Conference Recycling & Expo, and Metal Recycling Conference & Expo. The three conferences are co-located and run simultaneously.
