Sustainable IT Equipment Resale – the Future of IT Asset Disposition (ITAD)

For companies, it’s no longer good enough to just resell their used electronic equipment to the highest bidding vendor. When companies refresh their IT assets they are now looking for a qualified ITAD vendor that aligns with their circular economy goals, lowers their carbon footprints, and protects their brand.

European regulations such as GDPR, the Basel Accord, ESG reporting, and Product Passports are changing the world of IT equipment resale.  Enterprises have a legal and moral responsibility to dispose of their IT equipment in a way that avoids the possibility of data breaches and environmental pollution.   Sustainable information technology asset disposition companies (ITAD’s) that align with enterprise circular economy responsibilities will be rewarded.

Attend this workshop to network with IT resellers and service providers.  Hear about the state of the European ITAD market and learn how to formalize your ITAD business to meet your customer’s needs.

For participants: We could hardly be more centrally located. The Forum Messe Frankfurt is within walking distance of the main railway station and only 15 minutes by car from Frankfurt airport.

You access the Forum via the entrance Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage. The Forum is signposted from there.

How To Get There

From the motorway: On the motorway, follow the signs ‘Westkreuz Frankfurt’ and ‘Messe’, then ‘Stadtmitte/Congress C’. You will come to the Theodor-Heuss-Allee. Follow this, skirting the eastern edge of the fairground, for around 500 meters and you will see the Congress Center/Maritim Hotel and the entrance Ludwig-Erhard Anlage on your right. Public parking spaces are available in the multi-story car park of the Maritim Hotel, the Marriott Hotel and beneath the nearby skyscraper, which is called the ‘Messeturm’.

From the main railway station: It is only one kilometre from the Hauptbahnhof (the main railway station) to the Ludwig-Erhard Anlage/Forum.

On foot: It will take 10 minutes to the Forum. Follow Düsseldorfer Straße (to your left as you leave the station) until you reach the Platz der Republik; cross this and bear left onto the Friedrich-Ebert Anlage; continue on past the Messeturm until you reach Ludwig-Erhard Anlage.

By subway: The U4 line (direction ´Bockenheimer Warte`) brings you in just one stop from the main railway station to the stop ‘Festhalle/Messe’. You leave the subway directly at `Eingang-City`, which is next to the Messeturm. (See instruction “On foot”)

By tram: Take the number 16 (direction `Ginnheim`) or number 17 (direction ´Rebstockbad`) from the main railway station and get off at Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage (only 4 stops). Cross the street and walk past the entrance of the Maritim Hotel and the Congress Center to the entrance Ludwig-Erhard Anlage.

From the airport: Trains run at 15-minute intervals from the S-Bahn (interurban train) station ‘Frankfurt Flughafen’ to the main railway station or ‘Hauptbahnhof’. You can take either the S8 or S9 (direction: ‘Offenbach’). Please change trains at the main railway station. See instructions “From the main railway station”.
